☾ After cleansing, apply 1-2 pumps to your face, neck, and eye area. If you have more sensitive skin or are new to retinol, use the Sandwich Method by layering your favourite serum before applying this product.

If you are using a cream, you can also mix a few drops into your moisturiser and apply in one easy step. Otherwise, gently press the facial oil into the skin rather than rubbing.

Sarah’s Tip: Start with 2 evenings per week and gradually increase frequency as your skin adapts. If you are new to retinoids, pair it with the Glow Serum using the Sandwich Method for a gentler introduction. Always apply SPF the following morning.

How to Use

☾ After cleansing, apply 1-2 pumps to your face, neck, and eye area.

WHAT IT IS

Retinol is a very effective form of Vitamin A which is a man-made, vegan ingredient. This vitamin plays an important role helping to build the skin structure. The top layer of the skin is formed by horny cells (corneocytes); Vitamin A promotes the formation of these cells and supports regeneration thus guaranteeing visibly, smoother skin.

This ingredient has also been studied as an effective acne treatment as it stimulates the production of healthy cells and regulates cell function.

Any questions? Let us answer them

Yes. It contains the pure form of retinol and not any of the new generation ingredients. Retinol is an active that has been researched for over 40 years. There are long-term studies and effects available in comparison to the new generation types.

It contains 0.3% and is transparently available on the label and packaging to clearly share with you how much it contains. According to EU regulation, 0.3% is considered safe and non-irritating. More than 0.3% and it can lead to irritation. Did you know that the EU Commission introduced a law that only products with 0.3% of the pure Version of Retinol are allowed to be offered in Europe? This will be rolled out by 2026. You can read more about this in our blog.

You use it in the evening only. Ideally in combination with the Everyday Glow Serum and Aura Essence.

Please take the product to your next doctor's appointment and follow your doctor's recommendation.

If you experience any discomfort or doubt while using the product, you should stop using it immediately.

All NAYA products are formulated to be gentle and barrier-respecting. If your skin is highly reactive or you’re trying NAYA for the first time, we recommend introducing new products gradually. Minis, the Skin Quiz or a consultation can help you choose comfortably.

That’s such a great question — and one we hear often!

Retinal (or Retinaldehyde) is frequently described as a stronger or faster version of Retinol, but the truth is: the difference isn’t as dramatic as many brands make it out to be. The popular claim that Retinal is “11 times faster” isn’t actually supported by independent studies — there’s no robust clinical evidence confirming this. It’s a marketing myth that keeps being repeated, and as a brand that values science and ingredient integrity, we find it just as frustrating as you might.

Both Retinol and Retinal are effective forms of Vitamin A, and the main difference lies in how the skin converts them:

  • sometimes mean quicker results.
  • not necessarily gentler. In fact, how gentle or effective a product is depends more on the full formulation, not just the headline ingredient.

Retinol remains an excellent option. It’s gentler for many skin types, especially for beginners or those with sensitive skin — and still highly effective when used consistently. It’s a solid choice for long-term skin health without unnecessary irritation.

At NAYA, we don’t follow trends — we follow evidence. That’s why we formulate products that work with your skin, not against it, and why we offer both Retinol and Retinal-based products. Each addresses different needs — and we’re here to help you find the right one for your skin, not what’s trending on social media this month.

If you’d like help choosing the best option for your skin goals, just let me know.
