Spring Skincare Routine: Adapt Your Regimen for the Season
Spring Skincare Routine: Let's Go
Hi everyone, I’m Sarah, the founder of NAYA and Chief Ingredient Nerd.
Welcome to the NAYA The Everyday Edit aka our blog :) ! Today, we’re going to be talking about Spring Skincare. As the weather starts to change, it's important to adapt your skincare routine to match the new season. In this blog post, we'll discuss why you should adjust your routine, how to make these adjustments, and some tips for spring skincare.
Why You Should Adapt Your Skincare Routine
Your skin's needs change throughout the year. In the winter, cold, dry air can leave your skin feeling parched and tight. In the summer, hot, humid weather can make your skin feel oily and greasy. Spring is a time of transition, and your skin care routine should reflect that.
Adapting Your Skincare Routine for Spring
There are three key things you should do to adapt your skincare routine for spring:
- Lighten Up Your Moisturiser: As the weather warms up, you'll want to switch to a lighter moisturiser. A heavy moisturiser that was perfect for winter may now clog your pores and lead to breakouts.
- Adjust Your Exfoliation: Exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells and keep your skin looking bright and fresh. However, you may need to adjust your exfoliation routine in the spring. In the winter, you may have been able to exfoliate two to three times a week. In the spring, you may only need to exfoliate one to two times a week.
- Consider a Cleansing Oil: A cleansing oil can be a great way to remove makeup and sunscreen without stripping your skin of its natural oils. Cleansing oils are a good option for all skin types, but they can be especially beneficial for dry skin.
Spring Skincare Tips
Here are a few additional tips for spring skincare:
- Don't forget the sunscreen! Just because the weather is starting to warm up doesn't mean you can skip the sunscreen. The sun's rays can be damaging to your skin year-round.
- Drink plenty of water. Drinking plenty of water will help to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out.
- Eat a healthy diet. Eating a healthy diet will give your skin the nutrients it needs to stay healthy and look its best.
By following these tips, you can adapt your skincare routine for spring and keep your skin looking healthy and glowing all season long.
