“I’ve been using the Exo Timeless ReGen Serum for a few weeks, and it’s been a game-changer for my nighttime routine. My skin feels so much softer and rejuvenated every morning!”
Clara, 32
“The Everyday Glow Serum has been my go-to for a hydrated and glowing complexion during pregnancy. My skin feels so much more balanced, and it’s the perfect amount of moisture!”
Sophia, 39
"My hormones went completely wild during pregnancy — hello, melasma and surprise breakouts! But the Everyday Sun Cream became my daily armor. It’s the one thing I knew I could count on to protect my skin (and my sanity) while everything else felt unpredictable. Pregnancy glow? Maybe. But sun protection? Definitely!"
Patch Testing: While all of our products are formulated to be safe during pregnancy, we recommend performing a patch test before using any new product to ensure compatibility with your skin.
INGREDIENTS TO AVOID
Retinoids (like Retinol): High concentrations of retinol or retinoids should be avoided during pregnancy.
Salicylic Acid (in high doses): Though present in some products, we use gentle, pregnancy-safe levels of AHAs and BHAs in our products. Always consult with your doctor if you’re uncertain.
Parfum and essential oils: During pregnancy, it’s recommended to avoid products with strong fragrances, including parfum and essential oils, as they can be irritants or trigger sensitivities. Some essential oils may also affect hormone levels or induce contractions, so it’s best to use products that are fragrance-free.
Consult Your Doctor: While each NAYA product has gone through safety assessment and majority of our products are pregnancy-safe, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns or specific skin conditions during pregnancy.
"Many customers ask me: “Is this product safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?”
Here’s my honest and responsible answer: Take the product with you to your next doctor’s appointment and follow your healthcare provider’s recommendation. If you ever feel uncertain or experience any discomfort while using a product, please stop using it immediately.
Like most, if not all skincare products on the market, NAYA Skincare formulations have not been specifically tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women, or on babies. However, there is no indication that our products would cause harm to these sensitive groups. Our independent safety assessor has raised no concerns regarding use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. That said, every woman should always discuss her skincare routine with her doctor during this special time.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women, along with their babies, are part of a particularly sensitive group. During pregnancy, the body undergoes profound changes — these can affect how certain active ingredients work or are processed in the body. Some ingredients may be metabolised, distributed, or excreted differently, which can impact their effects.
That’s why I strongly recommend discussing the use of active skincare products with your doctor.
It’s not just the reasonable thing to do — I believe it’s the ethical thing to do. Any brand that avoids this conversation, in my view, raises serious questions about their values."
- Sarah Zimmer, Founder of NAYA Skincare
Most NAYA products are considered safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, as a precaution, we always recommend discussing any skincare with your healthcare provider. Our formulas are independently safety assessed, and we avoid harsh ingredients — but your personal comfort and medical advice come first. Read our founder's position on this.
Yes. Ingredients like retinoids (e.g., Retinol, Retinal), salicylic acid in high concentrations, and synthetic fragrances, as well some essential oils are often advised against during pregnancy. At NAYA, our Retinol Cell Renewal, Retinal Radiance Reborn and Exo Timeless Night Comfort are best avoided during pregnancy, but may be used again after consulting your doctor postpartum.
Always listen to your skin. If you notice irritation, discomfort, or if something doesn’t feel right, stop using the product and consult your doctor. Pregnancy changes your skin’s sensitivity — what worked before might feel different now. The skin is a living organ and gets impact by what is happening within you.
