The Rosacea
Skincare Routine
A tolerance-first protocol built for rosacea and couperose-prone skin. Barrier first, vascular calming second, everything else after.
Skin currently in active flare? This routine is for skin stable enough for a consistent protocol. If skin is stinging or burning, start with the Calm state first and return once basic hydration is tolerated without reactivity.

Three rosacea profiles.
One protocol.
Rosacea presents differently at different stages, but the underlying barrier and vascular work is the same. Where your skin sits changes the pace, not the protocol.
Vascular rosacea, sometimes called ETR. Skin flushes with heat, stress or alcohol, with no raised bumps. Ectoin and ceramide calming is the primary intervention.
Couperose, or Grade 1. Fine telangiectasia visible, skin tight and dry. This is the optimal intervention window, before inflammatory Grade 2 develops.
Papulopustular, or Grade 2. Raised lesions alongside persistent erythema. Use this routine alongside any dermatologist-prescribed treatment, not instead of it.
Redness without visible capillaries or bumps? That may not be rosacea. The broader reactivity spectrum is covered by the Redness & Stressed Skin routine, which is built for the same mechanisms at a lower intensity.
Morning — four steps
Start the day
without disruption.
Every step earns its place biologically. Nothing is here for sensory appeal or trend. Each product addresses a specific mechanism that rosacea-prone skin requires.
Sulphate-free, pH-balanced, fragrance-free. Rosacea skin shows measurable TEWL increase after every foaming sulphate wash. This does not raise pH or strip surface lipids. Apply to dry skin and emulsify with lukewarm water.

Ectoin stabilises cell membranes to interrupt the neurogenic inflammatory signal that turns vascular sensitisation into visible flushing. It does not mask redness. It raises the threshold at which triggers produce a response.

Ceramide-rich barrier repair. The structural deficit in rosacea skin is why products sting, fragrance triggers flushing and temperature changes show on the face. Consistent ceramide application rebuilds the architecture between nerve endings and external inputs.

UV is the highest-frequency rosacea trigger in clinical data. It causes lipid peroxidation in the barrier matrix, reversing the ceramide repair of step three with every unprotected exposure. Every day, every season.
View productEvening — four steps
Evening is where
repair compounds.
The same core three steps, with Cell Resilience added as step two once skin has consistently tolerated the routine for two weeks.
Same principle as the morning. If wearing SPF or light coverage, one gentle cleanse is sufficient. Double cleansing is not recommended for rosacea skin, because the second pass compounds surface lipid loss.

Not a hydration step. Cell-communicating bioactives support the skin's ability to regulate itself under daily environmental stress. Introduce only once the core three steps are consistently tolerated.

Evening application allows Ectoin to work during the skin's peak repair window. Consistent twice-daily use builds cumulative vascular tolerance over four to six weeks. The mechanism requires repeated signalling, not a single application.

Barrier repair enzymes are most active between 11pm and 4am. Evening ceramide application supplies the lipid substrate the barrier needs during its highest-repair window. The single most consequential step for long-term improvement.

What rosacea skin
cannot tolerate.
This list does not change as skin improves. Tolerance rising does not mean these become safe, it means the reaction takes longer to show.
What to expect
Progress is cumulative,
not overnight.
Stinging and burning with basic products begins to calm. Inconsistency is normal in this phase. Do not introduce anything new.
Post-cleanse tightness reduces and flushing episodes shorten. Cell Resilience can be introduced once the core routine is consistently tolerated.
Previously reliable triggers produce smaller or shorter reactions. Barrier density is meaningfully higher than at day one.
Flare frequency is lower and duration is shorter. A conversation with a dermatologist about structural actives can begin if skin is stable.
The Rosacea Discovery Set
€40The three core steps in trial sizes. Tolerance is what shifts first: products stop stinging, and flushing settles faster once it starts. That is what a trial is for, and the vascular work compounds from there.
